"I have driven at Interlagos just once before. At the end of the F3 season, I took my engineer from Carlin Motorsport to the circuit and drove an old F3 car there for one day. It is unusual to drive anti-clockwise, but I have focused much winter training on my neck muscles so I'm sure I will be fine."

"The second session was particularly difficult as we couldn't balance the car well and lost a lot of running time making changes in the garage. Overall the sessions were productive and we had no problems with the car."

"Qualifying was always going to be difficult for me because due to the penalty imposed on me, I had one less chance to make a good lap time. We struggled with the balance and hot track temperatures, which did not work well for us. I was hoping to go quicker in the last outing but in the last corner I had a big moment and also got caught up in traffic. We hope that we can run a reliable race to the finish tomorrow."

"I really enjoyed the race and the two stop strategy worked well. The first lap was very exciting with a lot of action. I then pushed hard and I enjoyed a battle with the Jaguars of Eddie Irvine & Pedro De La Rosa and BAR's Olivier Panis. I feel I coped physically very well with the race, although my neck muscles will feel a lot better after a massage! I am looking forward to beginning the races in Europe."
