○2002年第7戦モナコGP
プレビュー
"It has already been a few days since the
big impact at the A1-ring and the pain has been going gradually from my knee and
leg so I am glad to be able to come back and race, Taku said. I am also really
looking forward to the Monaco Historic race. It is such a historic car and city
that it will be a very impressive weekend. I greatly appreciate all the sponsors
who have given me the opportunity to do it. I have put the Austrian accident
behind me now and it will not affect my performance in Monaco at
all."
プラクティスレポート
"It was a shame that
we had a suspension problem at the end, thanks to this circuit's kerbs, and
unfortunately I lost the last 15 minutes of running. Generally, it was a good
day as I learned the circuit and found good balance with the EJ12. The track
conditions were quite difficult but on Saturday and Sunday it will probably be
different so I think we are okay."
クォリファイレポート
"Generally it wasn't a bad session, but we
had difficulties in applying all the set-up changes I would have liked, in order
to manage the changing track conditions and understeer which I experienced.
There was also a lot of traffic on my last runs so all in all I wasn't able to
get a top time from the car."
レースレポート
"It was an exciting race and I made a really
good start, overtaking a couple of cars at the first corner and then I was
immediately behind Giancarlo. "I was able to overtake him as he seemed to get
held up by something, maybe passing other cars. But at the time Giancarlo was
slightly quicker than me and because I was ahead of him, the team asked me to
let him through. I was trying to let him go past, but unfortunately it was at
the exit of the tunnel and while I was trying to make space for him, I picked up
dust, slid and lost control of the car. It is a big disappointment but has been
good experience for me and I would like to congratulate Giancarlo for scoring
points. Brilliant"
