"I really don't know much about this new race, but I am in the same position as most other people. All we know is that it is going to be really hot and sandy! It is always interesting to go to a new circuit, and I personally am very excited to be going to a new country. I have never been to that area at all, so it will be a great new experience. I will be doing three days of training before the race to prepare for the hot conditions, and with all the preparations we are doing at the test this week, we should be in a really good position. Malaysia was disappointing, as we had the pace and the strategy and could have scored a point without the problem we had. We are working on the reliability and as we were competitive at the first two races, I am very encouraged and looking forward to Bahrain."

プラクティスレポート
"It has been a very good start for us considering this is a brand new circuit. We haven't experienced any major problems so have been able to do some good work with the tyres and set-up. The circuit is very interesting to drive and the track conditions changed considerably during the day. When we started out this morning it was very 'green' and dusty but it has improved a lot with the amount of running today. There was actually a lot of grip on the line towards the end of the day so I was able to keep improving my lap time. It was a shame that I lost six or seven tenths on what would have been my fastest lap of the day when I picked up debris from Alonso's Renault, so there is a lot more to come from me and the car here. Generally I'm pleased so far."

クォリファイレポート
"It was a good lap considering that I had some oversteer, so I'm quite pleased. It has been a very productive weekend so far and I'm happy that we haven't had any problems so far. I have been able to get lots of laps in and this really helped with my qualifying result, so this just shows what is possible with the right preparation. I'm really looking forward to the race."

レースレポート
"First of all I would like to say thank you to the team and the fantastic result we achieved together today. From a personal point of view I was quite disappointed with my race because I was on the pace and could have achieved a stronger position than fifth today. On the other hand, I'm happy to deliver a points-finish for the team because every point counts in the end. I also really enjoyed racing here, so I'm taking away a lot of good things from this weekend. The tangle with Ralf Schumacher was disappointing because we should have got through turn two side by side but he just closed the door on me and turned in. After that, I ran wide, damaging the front wing on the kerb and I was forced to do an earlier pitstop. In my middle stint, the gurney came loose and we had to adjust it in my next pitstop, so I lost a bit of time there. Generally though, the car was working superbly and I was able to race alongside Coulthard and Alonso towards the end which was great. Things are looking very encouraging for the rest of the season and I can't wait for Imola in three weeks' time."
