○2004年第6戦モナコGP
プレビュー
"I am very excited to be racing in Monaco
next week. It is a very special Grand Prix in the calendar. This is the first
time I have raced there since 2002 and I am very interested to see all the
changes to the circuit and the paddock area since then. Having had a strong
weekend in Barcelona, I think we are looking very positive for the race and
personally I am looking forward to it. We have been testing at Paul Ricard this
weekend and hopefully the development work we have conducted there will give us
a good boost."
プラクティスレポート
"I'm very
pleased from a personal point of view and the team has made a good start to the
weekend. All three cars were the top performers in my opinion and we all made
good progress towards the race. So I am very happy with our performance today
and I enjoy driving here in Monaco. It is a very encouraging start and obviously
we now need to concentrate on the performance and tyres for tomorrow because
qualifying is so important here."
クォリファイレポート
"It's a great shame because I was on a really
good lap until I had a moment in sector two coming off the kerb. I wasn't able
to pick up grip straight away so I locked up into the chicane after the tunnel.
Everything locked up - the front and the rears and I lost a lot of time. This
unsettled me in sector three also. I'm not very happy because I could have been
closer to the front row today, but I have to be positive and rely on what I
think will be a strong strategy for tomorrow's race."
レースレポート
"I am obviously extremely disappointed today
after making such a great start off the grid, but on the positive side it was
encouraging to see our race pace was so strong. I think we made a great tyre
choice for this race and we had a very good strategy - it's just a shame I
wasn't able to use it! I immediately felt a loss of engine power and saw some
smoke, then my race was over. It was very unfortunate that the smoke caused the
crash between Coulthard and Fisichella, and although there was nothing I could
have done about it, I am really pleased that no one was hurt. We have been
working very hard in testing at Barcelona and Paul Ricard for this race and the
Nurburgring, and at least I don't have long to wait to try to make up for
today."
